IT Awards Off-Off-Broadway Survey Program
While the Off-Off-Broadway (OOB) community encompasses hundreds of companies and thousands of theatre artists, there exists virtually no statistical information about this vast and diverse community. In an endeavor to create a baseline for this important information, we are conducting a series of survey programs.

Off-Off-Broadway Audience Survey
Report Coming Soon:
Completed in 2012, our Audience Survey is the most widespread and comprehensive examination of the Off-Off-Broadway audience to date, and was designed to measure the consumer preferences of Off-Off-Broadway theatregoers. It is funded in part by the New York State Council for the Arts (NYSCA).

Demographic Study of Off-Off-Broadway Practitioners
This report provides artists and theatre companies measured data to support funding requests for their work in the OOB sector. The third in our five-part survey program, this study specifically looks at the artists that make up the community and shows them to be highly educated voters who are involved in civic and community activities.
β€œIt is immediately useful as well as historically significant. It simultaneously elucidates the value of the Off-Off-Broadway community while creating an historical record.'”

Study of Off-Off-Broadway Performance Venues
This 5-year study evaluates where Off-Off-Broadway (OOB) productions are being performed and trends in regards to performance venues from neighborhood to neighborhood.
Update: List of lost / closed Off-Off-Broadway Spaces

Statistical Analysis of Off-Off-Broadway Budgets
The subject of the first completed study is production budgets and how Off-Off-Broadway producers spend their money.

Plans for a comprehensive economic impact survey are currently in development. Future studies may be conducted in partnership with other New York theatre community organizations.
