The 2014 New York Innovative Theatre Awards Ceremony was held on Monday, September 22nd at Mason Hall, Baruch Performing Arts Center.

The event was hosted Jason Kravits, Directed by Robert Ross Parker, Opening Number Choreographed by Rachel Klein, with script contributions by James Comtois, and performance by Blessed Unrest.

2012 Nominees
On Monday, July 23, 2012 the IT Awards celebrated the end of the season and announced the 2012 New York Innovative Theatre Awards Nominees. The official announcement was made by Jolie Garrett, David M. Pincus, Cat Parker, Derek Shore, Tari Stratton and Kristen Vaughan and was held at the Carmine Street Recreation Center.

2011
2011 Award Recipients
The 2011 New York Innovative Theatre Awards Ceremony was held on Monday, September 19th at Cooper Union’s Great Hall. Indie Theatre artists showed up and showed out. A fantastic opening number was performed by The Passion Crest Violators Fictional Cheerleading Squad, Christopher Borg, Nicole Hill, Andrew Boyd and Ryan Kasperzak.

The event was hosted Harrison Greenbaum, Directed by Tom Wojtunik, with script contributions by Matt Freeman and performance by Flux Theatre Ensemble.

2011 Nominees
On Monday, August 1, 2011, The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, announced the 2011 nominees at its annual sold-out event at the Carmine Street Recreation Center located at 25 Carmine Street. The nominees were announced by: Zack Calhoon, Di�nna Martin, David Anthony, Rehana Lew Mirza, Katie Rosin & Patrick Shearer.

2010 Award Recipients
The 2010 New York Innovative Theatre Awards were presented on Monday, September 20, 2010 at Cooper Union�s Great Hall. The crowd of nearly 700 OOB artists, friends and family arrived at Cooper Union, dressed to impress in cocktail dresses and suits and ready to celebrate. The event was hosted by Lisa Kron, directed by Tom Wojtunik with script contributions by Bekah Brunstetter. The opening number was performed by the Vampire Cowboys and the Caff� Cino presentation was performed by the New York Neo-Futurists.

2010 Nominees
The 2010 Nominees were announce on Monday, July 19, 2010 at the Carmine Street Recreation Center. James Scruggs, Nicky Paraiso, Tzipora Kaplan, Doug Strassler, Jay Aubrey and Linda S. Nelson had the honor or announcing the nominees to the very enthusiastic crowd.

2009 Award Recipients
The 2009 New York Innovative Theatre Awards were held on Monday, September 21, 2009 at New World Stages in New York City and was attended by 750 artists and their guests. The event was hosted by Julie Halston with script contributions by Matthew Freeman, opening number performed by Scott Williams and directed by Christopher Borg and a presentation by The Brick Theater Company.

2009 Nominees
On July 20, 2009, The New York Innovative Theatre Awards celebrated its 5th birthday and announced the 2009 nominees at its annual nominee announcement event at the Carmine Street Recreation Center.

Presenting the 2009 honors were a panel of community members who support the artists and the foundation, they included: Roman Feeser, Aaron Riccio, Stephanie Williams, Hillary Cohen, Desmond Dutcher, and Ron Bopst.

Founders Award
In celebration of their 5th birthday, a special award was presented at the announcement event. Jason Bowcutt, Shay Gines and Nick Micozzi, co-executive directors of the New York Innovative Theatre Foundation, presented The Founders Award to the Innovative Theatre Foundation�s Company Manager Akia, an individual who has made a significant contribution to the Innovative Theatre Foundation and the Off-Off-Broadway community.

2008 Award Recipients
The 2008 New York Innovative Theatre Awards were held on Monday, September 22 at the Fashion Institute of Technology’s Haft Auditorium in New York City and was attended by 750 artists and their guests. The event was hosted by Lisa Kron and directed by Jose Zayas with performances by the Blue Man Group and a presentation by Boomerang Theatre Company’s Jennifer Larkin, Joe Whelski and Vinnie Penna. Script contributions were made by Jeffrey Keenan.

2008 Nominees
The 2008 New York Innovative Theatre Awards Nominees were announced on July 21, 2008 at Our Lady of Pompeii. Michael Mitchell, Kathleen Warnock, Ben Hodges, Bob Lee, Morgan Lindsay Tachco, and Christopher Borg announced the 2008 nominees.

The 2007 New York Innovative Theatre Awards were held on Monday, September 24 at the Fashion Institute of Technology’s Haft Auditorium in New York City and was attended by 750 artists and their guests. The event was hosted by Julie Halston and directed by Blake Lawrence with a presentation by Rising Phoenix Repertory’s Elizabeth West. Script contributions were made by Jeffrey Keenan.

The 2006 New York Innovative Theatre Awards were held on Monday, September 18, 2006 at the historic Cooper Union in New York City and was attended by 600 artists and their guests. The event was hosted by Charles Busch and directed by Blake Lawrence with a special presentation by Lisa Stevenson of ART/NY and a performance by the Vampire Cowboys Theatre Company. Script contributions were made by Leonard Jacobs.

2006 Nominees
The 2006 New York Innovative Theatre Awards Nominees were announced on Monday, July 17, 2006 at the Ukrainian National Home.

2005 Award Recipients
The inaugural awards ceremony was held on Monday, September 19, 2005 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre and was attend by 300 nominees and guests. It was hosted by Charles Busch and directed by Blake Lawrence with a special presentation by Judith Hawking and the opening number was performed by the cast of [title of show], Hunter Bell, Jeff Bowen, Susan Blackwell, Heidi Blickenstaff and Larry Pressgrove. Script contributions were made by Leonard Jacobs.

2005 Nominees
On Monday, July 18, 2005, the New York IT Awards proudly announced the Nominees for the 2005 season. The event was held at the Castillo Theatre and was attended by a capacity crowd that came to honor the Nominees and celebrate a great year for Off-Off-Broadway theatre.

Founders Award
The founders of the Innovative Theatre Foundation (Jason Bowcutt, Shay Gines, and Nick Micozzi) presented a special award in honor of their first season. The Founders award was presented to Paul Adams an individual who has made a significant contribution to the Innovative Theatre Foundation and the Off-Off-Broadway community.
